EMI And BBC Form Deal To Release Unheard Material

EMI and BBC Worldwide have formed a deal to release unreleased music by bands like Coldplay and The Beach Boys.

Until now, unheard songs in the form of TV and radio recordings by acts on the label, have been stored by the BBC. The deal will see EMI releasing the BBC recordings from their artists on DVD, CD and downloads.

Names said to be included in the archive - which includes thousands of hours of unheard songs - are Kylie Minogue, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Lily Allen and two mentioned earlier.
